Staff At Central Washington Hospital Told To Shelter In Place Thursday
The hospital went into lockdown briefly Thursday afternoon, but WPD Chief Edgar Reinfeld reported there's no credible threat at this time
Confluence Health staff members received a notice to shelter in place at 3:12 Thursday afternoon.
“Security has received a credible threat to someone at Central Campus and will be moving to a shelter in place until further notice,” it read.
Adam MacDonald, a spokesperson for Confluence Health, confirmed the brief lockdown and wrote in an email that while they continued to be open for business, some patients may have seen heightened security for the duration of the shelter in place.
He also said the alert has passed.
“This shelter in place has since been stood down after consultation with local law enforcement and is now deemed resolved and over with no danger to the public or the staff and patients at Confluence Health,” he wrote.
