Chair Falls Off Lift At Mission Ridge Saturday

Mission Ridge General Manager Matthew Neubauer reported there were no injuries due to the incident, but it's not the first time this has happened this season

When Paul and his son realized a chair had fallen off of Mission Ridge’s Chair 4 ahead of them as they were riding the lift on Saturday afternoon, they were dismayed.

“It was so alarming my son and I immediately left,” he wrote. “I get that things happen but what was so alarming was staff didn’t even stop the lift to perform an inspection. Makes me question the quality of inspections and maintenance that are happening.”

No one was on the two-person chair at the time and no one on the ground was hurt, Mission Ridge General Manager Matthew Neubauer wrote in an email Sunday morning. And Mission Ridge staff did perform an inspection, although the lift did remain in operation for the rest of the day.
