A coalition of folks who live around the new Freedom Hills real estate development in Cashmere say they’ll take developer Gregg Smith to court if his company does not disconnect from a shared irrigation water line by the end of the month.
The neighbors say that Smith’s company, POH Ventures LLC, tapped into and has been drawing water from an irrigation weir he has no right to be connected to and it’s been a problem all year. Last week Cashmere resident Jeff Johnson sent out an email with a detailed outline of the problem created by another fellow resident Josh Price.
“Josh Price did an excellent job putting together a document (attached) outlining the rights of weir box 18 users, along with Gregg Smith's current infringement on our assets,” Johnson wrote.
