In my last post I shared some screenshots and a communication from a local pastor about religious exemption info sessions at Sage Hills and Grace City Churches in Wenatchee. I think it’s important to also highlight how other religious leaders in the region are approaching this issue with their followers.
Here’s a letter from the Bishop of the Yakima Diocese about vaccines and religious exemptions.

And here’s a video message from Bishop Tyson back in May addressing the issue in English. The Spanish version can be found here.
I also spoke with a local pastor about what his evangelical Christian church’s position on vaccines and religious exemptions are, and he said:
“I told one person the other day that if they really do want religious exemption than they could simply write a letter and it doesn’t need to be signed by me or any other pastor.”
The Mormon Church also recently urged their members to wear masks while attending services and get vaccinated to limit the spread of COVID-19. I have been asking around but cannot find information about any local churches other than Grace City and Sage Hills that have held religious exemption info sessions. If I do though, I will mention it here.
