Introducing Ridge 2 River Animal Sanctuary
A humane education center making its debut this year
Ridge 2 River Animal Sanctuary and Humane Education Center in Cashmere put down roots in the Wenatchee Valley before the pandemic, but this summer will be the first time members of the public can visit and experience the refuge.
I visited the sanctuary last week and met co-founder and director Anna Gullickson, as well as twin goats named Woody and Sage, a rescued sheep named Basil, and a pair of pigs named Beni and Squidward.
They’ll be hosting summer camps for kids this year, and you can learn more about Ridge 2 River’s mission here.
The nicest thing I can think of to do for an animal is to not eat it. Or pilfer it’s secretions.
