"Problems Remain Unsolved" Former Wenatchee Valley College Admin Staffer Says In Exit Report
Former Executive Assistant to the VP of Student Affairs Anna Fransk wrote a report she says fell on deaf ears, so now she's sharing it with the public
Late last year Anna Fransk (formerly Brown), the executive assistant to the vice president of student affairs at Wenatchee Valley College, resigned and submitted a packet of letters, emails, documents and notes to the WVC board of trustees.
The picture they paint is one of a workplace full of bullying, “singling out” and retaliation by Maria Iñiguez, the WVC president’s chief of staff, as well as dishonesty from President Faimous Harrison.
Fransk detailed a litany of incidents in which Iñiguez was dismissive or unprofessional, like the time they interviewed a candidate for the college’s athletic director position and Iñiguez reportedly wrote the individual off based on his age and race.
“While an Athletic Director finalist was on campus for interviews, I casually asked Maria for her impression. She replied negatively, adding, ‘He’s just an old white man,’” Fransk wrote. “The remark left me distinctly uncomfortable.”
According to Fransk, Iñiguez later claimed to be the only cabinet member who supported that candidate.
