Scammer Claiming to Represent Imagine Dragons Swindles $250,000 from Town Toyota Center
TTC GM Mark Miller approved a wire transfer to an individual claiming to represent the multi-platinum American pop rock band in order to secure a show next spring

A con artist posing as the pop rock band Imagine Dragons’ agent scammed the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee out of $250,000 in August.
The TTC is a 4,300 seat publicly-owned multipurpose area funded by taxpayer dollars ran by a full-time staff overseen by the Public Facilities District board of directors, which is comprised of appointed representatives from each town that helps fund the facility.
Imagine Dragons is an internationally-touring band that since forming in Las Vegas in 2009 has produced four multi-platinum singles. According to the band’s management company, London-based Wasserman Music, they have redefined rock in the 21st century.
“Filling stadiums, crafting cloud-rattling anthems, and breaking records at every turn, diamond-certified GRAMMY Award-winning Las Vegas quartet Imagine Dragons occupy rarified air as one of the biggest rock bands in the world,” Wasserman’s website reads.
On Sept. 28 they will be playing The Gorge.
