State Law Enforcement Agencies Using Grace City Church Compound for Patrol Tactics Training
Officers from across the state met five times in 2021 to conduct two-day trainings at GCC's facility in the Sunnyslope neighborhood of Wenatchee
Over the course of 2021 officers from Washington state law enforcement agencies across the state met in Wenatchee and used Grace City Church’s brand new facility in the Sunnyslope neighborhood for patrol tactics trainings, according to Steve Smith, a lawyer representing the City of Wenatchee.
They were met with Grace City Church staff members bearing “gift bags” that included wine, gift cards and apparel.
“Gift bags were provided by the church to officers and deputies that attended the Patrol Tactics training. The contents of the bags were not inventoried, but the recollection is that the bags contained a bottle of wine, baseball cap, a Starbucks coffee card (for out of town officers) and small amount gift cards from local vendors from the Wenatchee Valley (for local law enforcement),” Smith wrote in an email.
