After reading about the link between Grace City Church and the August ambush of the Wenatchee School Board by anti-science activists, Rafael Aguilar of La Pera Radio in Wenatchee reached out to me. He invited me to come on La Pera to do a bilingual segment and what started as a one-off has turned into a weekly segment. So for the last three weeks I’ve been going in to talk with Rafael and inform his Spanish speaking listeners about what has been happening in our community.
This past week we spoke about the Vector Academy, which started this month (GCC pastor Josh McPherson admits as much in this video). I also read some excerpts from the unaccredited course’s marketing handbook. I specifically wanted to highlight this page which highlights the organization’s preoccupation with “God’s design for government” as they put it.

You can listen to all three segments as podcast episodes here.
This weekend at the Vector Academy I’m told that instructor Terry Fike was the featured speaker. Fike is the construction trades instructor at the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center and I have also been told that Fike and his construction trades students actually worked on building McPherson’s home near Monitor. What is unclear to me is if the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center, or the Wenatchee School District, invoiced for and were compensated for the work, like a normal contractor would be.
So I filed a public records request to the Wenatchee School District this week and they are working on compiling the requested documents. I should know more about that soon.
