Wenatchee Mayoral Candidate Faces Backlash After Taking Campaign Photo on Fire District Property
Fire officials say he was told not to but took the photo anyway, then posted it to social media

Wenatchee Mayoral Candidate Bryan Campbell is facing backlash for taking a photo on Wenatchee Valley Fire District property, with a district vehicle, after being told not to by WVFD Station 10 staff.
According to Wenatchee Valley Fire District Commissioner Cam de Mestre, Campbell asked staff members if he could take a picture with a fire department vehicle on fire department property.
“He was told that we are not allowed to accommodate such a request for the purpose of a political campaign,” de Mestre wrote in an email. “As you know Mr. Campbell has since posted a picture of himself wearing a campaign decal while standing next to a WVFD (formerly Chelan County Fire District 1) vehicle that was parked in front of Fire Station 10. He was not authorized to use that photo for campaign purposes by WVFD.”
