Whistleblower Reports Right-Wing Backed School Board Propaganda Circulating at Chelan County PUD
And Grace City Church announces a new 'church plant' in partnership with 'The Warrior Poet' John Lovell in Georgia
Recently a Chelan County PUD employee provided me with political flyers connected to a local campaign designed to influence the upcoming Wenatchee School Board elections by defeating board president and incumbent María Iñiguez, incumbent Martin Barron and candidate Miranda Skalisky.
The financing for and direction behind the law-breaking campaign come from prominent Grace City Church member and retired General Richard “Dick” Black and Dr. Dale Peterson, a retired urologist best known locally for his frequent campaigns against abortion, gay and transgender rights and Covid-19 vaccines.
Black is the father of erstwhile school board director, Katherine Thomas, who has for months been attending school board meetings virtually from her home in Texas.
The flyers, which match the style and message of the billboard on South Mission Street in Wenatchee that Black and Peterson had put up, were handed out at a work meeting at the PUD earlier this month, according to the whistleblower.
They also said the individual who was distributing them was connected to Tricia Cleek’s campaign. Cleek, like Black and Thomas, is also a member of Grace City Church, according to GCC records. According to the official Chelan County voters’ pamphlet, Cleek’s husband works for the PUD.
So I reached out to Cleek to ask if the distribution of the flyers is connected to her campaign. I also reached out to the PUD to ask if the distribution of campaign materials is permitted by public utilities district employees while at work.
