Leaving Christianity because of a negative experience would be the real tragedy! People shouldnt blame God for such extremes as GCC. Other local church leaders should be reaching out to the community in these kinds of situations. GCC does not represent Christianity well at all. This is truly alarming!

Alarming, yes...but not uncommon. Those of us who left Christianity do not blame their god for the abuses. We know where the responsibility lies.
