Elder scams are so frightening! It takes only moments for someone to be teicked. 10 yrs ago my own smart mother started to be drawn toward sweepstake scams: she had no understanding of how something that looked so authentic could be "fake". It is a good reminder that if your older parent or freind lives alone that you try to find out if they have fallen for something (which is usually too embarrassing to admit). Fast forward til now and OMG the voices, pictures, etc that can be faked! Scary world in which we all need to look out for one another. What an outstanding story on this Rotary!
